Trebuchet Challenge

We give the teams a selection or materials, sufficient for the task, and a copy of the two pictures (right). They are instructed to build a medieval catapult, a Trebuchet, to hurl a water melon. Some timely advice may be given by the mentor, but little information is offered, It is for the teams to decide how to proceed.
A recent comment made said "this exercise was great for line managers who frequently have to get involved with unfamiliar situations, with little or no information."
